Myrph is our region's Tester/Observer for the nationally recognized and well respected organization, "Alliance of Therapy Dogs" (ATD).
Therapy Dog work is an extremely rewarding community service activity that many pet owners engage in with their dogs.
If you are interested in preparing your dog for Therapy Dog Certification / Registration, Myrph would be happy to advise and assist you with this process.
When the time comes, Myrph would be able to help you complete your testing process and gain your registration as a "Therapy Dog Team", provided you and your dog meet the qualifications.
It is not necessary for you to engage in Myrph's training classes as a prerequisite to testing with ATD. If you think you are currently ready for testing, contact Myrph and arrange for an evaluation to begin your testing process.
If you have a young dog/puppy or a dog who is new to you, and you'd like to explore the possibility of a becoming a therapy dog team someday, socialization and training are important steps toward that goal. Myrph's training classes are an excellent beginning point.

Alliance of Therapy Dog's (ATD) Mission Statement
It is a goal of ATD to provide registration, support, and insurance for members who are involved in volunteer animal assisted activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, visits to hospitals, special needs centers, schools, and nursing homes. Our objective is to form a network of caring individuals who are willing to share their special animals in order to bring happiness and cheer to people, young and old alike.
